Temple of Athena at Assos Reconstruction from Southeast This is the front side of the Temple. The door can be seen between the columns. Notice the frieze on top of the columns (Ionic order). The metopes and the triglyphs (blue) are on top of the frieze (Doric order). This Temple was the first ever where the two orders were used at the same time. |
